Here at Allen Acres we breed and raise registered Scottish Highland Cattle, train horses, teach riding lessons, trim equines using the barefoot trimming method and enjoy
the beauty and peace that surrounds us.  Allen Acres is owned and managed by Kevin and Amy Allen.  Amy is the trainer, riding instructor and barefoot trimmer. She has enjoyed many years of training and teaching using horsemanship methods. Word of mouth continues to bring many horse owners seeking Amy's help with their horsemanship.

Fall is quickly approaching.
Seems time is passing too quickly and the days are getting shorter faster than we would like. Many beautiful days ahead to continue to work on the many things we have learned this year during lessons and training sessions. Take the time to get out there and ride before the winter rains arrive.

I have become a distributor for California Trace Minerals. I use to use, and suggest a popular NW supplement but it is without biotin (also costs more per day) and I started to see hoof wall separation. CA Trace Minerals meet all the vitamin/mineral and hoof (biotin)needs of Washingon equines. I feed CA Trace to my own horses with a handful of timothy pellets as a carrier, or soaked beet pulp.
